Entry hall - arrow and moose - the only way is up!
Our entry hall had good bones, but was very neutral looking. I wanted to add some color and pattern to it!
I masked off the wall and painted it turquoise.
While the paint was drying, I masked off two baskets and a rug.
For the rug, I made a stencil out of floor padding. I taped Frog tape around it, then cut off the excess.
I put up tape every 14 inches. Then I cut smaller ends of Frog tape at an angle for the arrows. This part was kind of free handed. I tried to off-set the arrows from the wall decor.
Then I painted over the whole thing with a darker turquoise and removed the tape.
I hung all the wall décor so that it is either centered between or on the stripes.
I had a cushion made for our bench and I sewed some pillow covers too.
I placed the two baskets on the shelves and the rug in front of that.
On the small wall cabinet, I placed a wool wreath I made last winter.
The orange flower over the mirror is one that I glued to a small canvas covered in orange fabric.
The moose and giraffe paintings, I painted in an art class I took with my son last year.
